Sangiacomo Presses Company Timeline

1956 CMBB in Vittorio Veneto starts to produce small C-Frame presses in the range of 6 to 10 tons for the Italian market. In subsequent years CMBB becomes part of the SECCO group.
1972 The press division is reorganized and continues business under its new name Officine S. Giacomo S.r.l. Business expands to the entire European market. Higher capacity presses up to 80 tons are added to the product line.
1987 The production is relocated to new 3,200 m2 facility, increasing the production capacity and capability to produce higher tonnage machines. In the course of the following decade, higher capacity presses with tonnage up to 500 tons are added to the product line. The export of machines expands from the European, American, and Middle Eastern markets, to sales worldwide.
1995 Sangiacomo offers custom adaptations to its basic machine design to provide solutions for numerous manufacturing challenges. Within a short time, Sangiacomo distinguishes itself by its ability to engineer and build specialized machines.
1999 First-year where annual production exceeds 1,000 presses.
2006 The construction of a 5,000 m2 addition is completed to keep up with Sangiacomo’s growth and expansion.
2010 A new product series, which includes the 50-ton and 75-ton straight-side presses is launched.
2014 Sangiacomo Presses Americas LLC is formed in Huntsville, Alabama, to provide sales and service support in North, Central, and South America.
